Jewel

On 6/2/07, sometime during the night, Autumn Dandy gave birth to Jewel, a dun filly. I completely missed this one. I had checked Dandy the night before and she had no signs of foaling. Wes even asked me if I wanted the camera moved, and I said, she's not having it tonight, I'll get it in the morning. So I was surprised to see an extra set of ears peering out of the stall in the morning. Jewel's sire is the late Shawnee Sands. This picture was taken less than 12 hours after her birth.
